Richard and Joke
Skipper Richard descends from a sailor family and is the last sailed professionally, on inland shipping (Phs van Ommeren) and sea (Nedlloyd).
Despite working ashore a motorboat was purchased in 1994. First a 7.5 m cruiser and 7 years later in 2001 their current 9 m Damenvlet. They spend 70 days on the boat per year with an average of 250 sailing hours. Their furthest journeys have been to Berlin (Germany) and Toul (Northern France). With their current boat they also dare to go on big rivers, such as the Rhine, and their sailing area has become larger.
